Effective August 11, 2025, at 11 a.m., the following are in effect:
- The Evacuation Order for 257 properties in Little Qualicum River Village below 1726 Warn Way will be lifted. These properties are now on Evacuation Alert.
- The remaining 37 properties in Little Qualicum River Village above 1726 Warn Way remain on Evacuation Order.
- The 353 properties that were already on alert below 1726 Warn Way and near the Spider Lake area remain on Evacuation Alert.
We continue to actively assess the wildfire situation and want to remind residents that conditions can change quickly. Please see the Public Notice for more information.
Notes for re-entry:
Returning home after a wildfire can be overwhelming. The area may look different and wildfire operations are still taking place.
- A Resilience Centre at the Lighthouse Community Centre, 240 Lions Way, Qualicum Beach, will be open between 2 and 8 p.m. from Tuesday, August 12 to Friday, August 15 (with a possibility of extension if needed), to support residents and evacuees affected by the Wesley Ridge Wildfire. Resources available will include clean up, health/mental health navigation support and FireSmart education. Additional community supports will be brought in as available.
- The Reception Centre location at Qualicum Beach Civic Centre is moving to the same location as the Resilience Centre at Lighthouse Community Centre, 240 Lions Way, Qualicum Beach, with the same hours of 2 to 8 p.m.

Emergency Support Services Update: Emergency Support Services have been extended for everyone under evacuation order until Friday, August 15 and will be reviewed again depending on the situation.
To extend your ESS supports, call the provincial ESS call center at 1-800-387-4258, go online via self-serve at https://ess.gov.bc.ca or visit the reception centre: Monday August 11 at 747 Jones Street (open 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) or Tuesday to Friday August 12-15 at the Lighthouse Community Centre, 240 Lions Way, Qualicum Beach (open 2 to 8 p.m.). The group lodging hours are also open 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
If you have insurance, please work with your insurance provider before seeking ESS.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious or distressed, support is available from the BC Mental Health Support Line at 310-6789.
Curbside Collection Update: Due to the ongoing Wesley Ridge wildfire near Cameron Lake, Curbside service in the evacuation alert area is temporarily paused. This decision has been made to help keep roadways safe for both our contractor and BC Wildfire Service personnel. Curbside service will resume as soon as possible. If you are under evacuation alert, you can drop off the item(s) not picked up on your scheduled collection day at the Church Road Transfer Station at no charge. Please read the service alert for more information.

The boat launch at Horne Lake Regional Park is closed as Horne Lake is being used as a water source for ongoing air support of the Wesley Ridge Wildfire. Thank you for respecting this closure so that aerial support efforts are not impeded.

Residents and visitors impacted by the order and alert can call the Emergency Operations Call Centre at 250-390-6538. Residents ordered to evacuate who need a place to shelter can go to the reception centre located at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre at 747 Jones Street.
