Rollo McClay Community Park

Rollo McClay Community Park

The Rollo McClay Community Park was created in 1990 as part of a residential subdivision (Plan No. VIP51655). The park was operated and maintained by Gabriola Island residents until the Regional District acquired the park later in the 1990’s. The park comprises an area of 7.8 hectares (19 acres) on the north side of Gabriola Island, and is accessed from McClay Way. Potable water is supplied to park users in the concession building. The well on-site is no longer used. Water is trucked-in 1-2 times per month from an RDN water system near Parksville, and is disinfected and stored in one cistern on site. Water quality test results are given in the annual reports listed below.
