Graded Site-Cut Timber
Note: The BC Building code requires lumber used for structural purposes to bear a stamp from an accredited grading agency. It can be difficult to get lumber stamped outside of a mill environment. The RDN is working on a solution to try to support the use of site cut timber in our area. If you are planning on using site cut timber in your project, please contact us before using the timber at: sustainability [at] rdn.bc.ca
Applications for this rebate are accepted from January 1, 2022 through to December 15, 2022. A limited number of rebates are available on a first come, first served basis for RDN Electoral Area residents. While incentives last, homeowners can access a rebate of up to $250 when using graded site-cut timber for structural use in renovations and new construction requiring a building permit. Homeowners in RDN Electoral Areas who harvest and use timber on the same site can take advantage of this rebate.
How to Receive Your Rebate
