Public Notice - Summer Extreme Heat Information and Resources

Environment Canada issues heat warnings when temperatures are very high and there is a moderate risk to public health. During hot weather, residents are advised to be prepared to activate their personal heat plans and to stay safe and cool indoors. Tips for staying cool can be found in the notice.

For those who need relief from the heat, there are several locations in the RDN with cooling spaces regularly open to the public including libraries, shopping centres and recreational facilities. Please refer to the list of locations in the notice and below under More Information.
