Public Hearing - Regional District of Nanaimo Zoning Bylaw 2500 - Part 1
Category: MeetingDate: Nov 04, 20247 p.m.Location: Cedar Community Hall, 2388 Cedar Road, NanaimoThe Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) advises of a Public Hearing regarding Regional District of Nanaimo Zoning Bylaw 2500, 2024 (Bylaw 2500). This is Part 1 of a two-part hearing with the second being held in Nanoose Bay on November 7th (see event calendar for that day). The purpose of the Public Hearing is to allow the public to make representations to the RDN respecting matters contained in Bylaw 2500. Resulting from the Bylaw 500 Update and Review Project, Bylaw 2500 is proposed to be the new primary planning document to be used in regulating use of land, buildings and structures within Electoral Areas A, C, E, G and H.

Mandatory Waste Source Separation Info Session - Drop-In
Category: Community EngagementDate: Nov 04, 202402:30 p.m.With three-stream waste diversion coming for all commercial, industrial, institutional and multi-family properties beginning January 2025, the RDN is hosting drop-in, info sessions.
This session will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
RDN's Solid Waste Team will be on hand to answer any questions about the new requirements, including how to introduce the requirements at your property and how to source required materials and services.
