Coombs-Hilliers Fire Department Members
We are proud to serve our community and have a team of 15 paid on-call firefighters from all walks of life. Our members include tradespeople, retirees, students and professionals who share a commitment to community safety.

Training and RecruitmentÂ
Join Us! We’re always looking for passionate individuals to become paid on-call firefighters. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and serve.
Training Includes:
- Fire suppression
- Auto-extrication
- Medical response
- Wildfire preparedness
- ICBC class 3 driver's license
- ICBC Air Brakes Endorsement
- National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Firefighter 1001
- CPR C (first aid)Â
- Incident command systems
Requirements:
- Age 18+
- Valid BC driver’s license
- Physical fitness
- Commitment to weekly training
