B.C. Wildfire Service has reported no significant growth overnight of the Mt. Hayes Fire today. More resources are arriving today to continue to fight the fire.
The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) issued a joint Evacuation Alert August 20, 2021 with the Cowichan Valley Regional District which remains in effect.
The RDN continues to have a Call Centre open Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to answer questions at 250-390-0940.
