The Regional District of Nanaimo advises that a Public Hearing is not being held for proposed "Regional District of Nanaimo Zoning Bylaw 2500.12, 2026" (Bylaw 2500.12). A Public Hearing is not being held as an official Community Plan (OCP) applies to the area that is subject to Bylaw 2500.12, and the RDN Board considers Bylaw 2500.12 to be consistent with the "Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Area 'H' Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1335, 2017". The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to rezone the subject property from Rural Residential 1 (RR1) Zone, Subdivision District 'D', to Rural Residential 1.5 (RR1.5) Sub-zone, Subdivision District 'D', under "Regional District of Nanaimo Zoning Bylaw No. 2500, 2024" to facilitate a new residential-commercial development.
