RDN Utility Bills
The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) sent out utility bills in late May to customers who receive their bills by mail. Utility customers who pay their utility bill before July 6, 2026, get prompt payment discounts of $15 off their residential curbside collection charges and 10 per cent on their water and sewer charges, if applicable. Please note that discounts are not applicable for Sandpiper Bulk Water surcharge.
Property Tax Notices
The Province of BC’s Surveyor of Taxes office sends out property tax notices to residents living in electoral areas before the end of May each year. The standard deadline to pay rural property taxes and to apply for the home owner grant or tax deferment is July 2.
