The Regional District of Nanaimo is in receipt of a Zoning Amendment Application respecting 2202 and 2210 Alberni Highway, in Electoral Area F. The applicant proposes to rezone the subject property from Village Residential 3 (R-3) to Commercial 2 (C-2) to permit the development of tourist accommodations under "Regional District of Nanaimo Zoning and Subdivision Bylaw No.1285, 2002". The applicant intends to develop train themed tourist accommodations with replica or converted train cars.
