Following the successful implementation of a new pass-up policy in Victoria in 2025, BC Transit will soon be making operational changes in all other transit systems across the province to accommodate more riders and reduce pass-ups.
Starting January 18, when all seats on buses are occupied, a 'Standing Room Only' sign will be shown on RDN buses. Operators will continue to stop at each route stop and allow more passengers to board if they choose until the red line at the front can no longer be safely maintained.
