A large watermain break occurred around noon today, Thursday, May 15, 2025, in the 3500 block of Carmichael Road in Nanoose Bay (please see map on the second page). The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) has isolated the leak and brought in repair equipment. Homes on Carmichael Road from Chelsea Place to Collingwood Drive are expected to be affected by the emergency shut down of the water supply for several hours. Customers located nearby may also experience low pressures and/or no water.
Crews are working to get the water service back online early this evening. Thank you for your patience while the watermain is being repaired.
