The Regional District of Nanaimo advises of a public hearing regarding proposed official community plan bylaw amendments and a zoning amendment for the following:

- "Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Area 'E' Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 1400.06, 2023"
- "Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Area 'G' Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 1540.06, 2023"
- "Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Area 'H' Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 1335.09, 2023"
- "Regional District of Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Amendment Bylaw No. 500.445, 2023"
The purpose of the bylaws is to create a new development permit area to address new construction and subdivision of lands within the designated coastal floodplain.
