Nanoose Bay Fire Department Members
We are proud to serve our community and have composite team of three full-time officers and 20+ paid-on-call firefighters from all walks of life. Our members include tradespeople, retirees, students and professionals who share a commitment to community safety.
Roles include:

We train together, respond together and support each other. Our strength lies in teamwork, trust and a shared purpose.
Training and Recruitment
Join Us! Nanoose Bay Fire Department is always looking for passionate individuals to become volunteer firefighters. No experience is necessary - just a willingness to learn and serve.
Training Includes:
- Fire suppression
- Auto-extrication
- Medical response
- Wildfire preparedness
- Incident command systems
Requirements:
- Age 18+
- Valid BC driver’s license
- Physical fitness
- Commitment to weekly training
