    Please note that this event has been cancelled. Join us at our next Draft Proofing Workshop on October 15 in Nanaimo!
     

    Learn from industry experts how to locate and fix draft issues, how to weather strip your door or window, air-sealing techniques and explore interactive displays to get hands-on experience.

    The Regional District of Nanaimo has partnered with Carbon Wise to deliver a free skills-focused workshop teaching RDN residents about draft proofing their homes. This two-hour workshop will introduce participants to key knowledge, resources and skills needed to complete effective DIY Draft Proofing at home.

  • Free Learn How To Ride the Bus Sessions

    Are you feeling confused or unsure how to get around on transit? Then join us for a fun and FREE group session. Learn everything you need to know to be confident riding the bus. How to read the transit maps and schedules, buying passes and how it works for scooters, walkers, wheelchairs, bikes and more. We will bring a bus to the session so you can get a hands-on experience. Pre-registration is required. All ages welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult.

    Coombs-Hilliers Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting an open house on Saturday, October 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Hall #2 located at 3241 Alberni Hwy, Qualicum Beach. There will be an educational display, hot dogs, fire truck tours and a firefighting demonstration.
