Members of the public are advised that the Board of the Regional District of Nanaimo will be holding a Special Board Meeting for the purpose of proceeding In Camera pursuant to Sections 90(1) and 90(2) of the Community Charter as follows:

Community Charter Section 90(1):

(n) the consideration of whether a Board meeting should be closed under a provision of this subsection or subsection (2); and

Community Charter Section 90(2):

(b) the consideration of information received and held in confidence relating to negotiations between the municipality and a provincial government or the federal government or both, or between a provincial government or the federal government or both and a third party.

Pickleball Free Drop-In

Pickleball is a game for all ages. From beginner to competitive player, everyone can play. Nine courts are available at Oceanside Place Arena. No attendants on duty during drop-in session. Check it out for free on Tuesday, April 23 from 9:00 am to 11:30am.

The Regional District of Nanaimo’s Team WaterSmart, in partnership with many great local organizations and municipalities, is excited to host a variety of activities and events to celebrate both World Water Day and Earth Day. Water to Earth Month 2019 will have something for everyone with workshops, stream walks, river rafting, swimming events, educational tours, streamkeepers courses, movie nights, and a big Earth Day celebration!

Management Oceanside (RDN, Town of Qualicum Beach, and City of Parksville) promote emergency preparedness to communities throughout the region. With handouts, EP Guidebooks, Emergency kit demos and practical advice, there is something for everyone. We look forward to seeing you in your community this season!

Golden Shoe Hunt

The 13th Annual Golden Shoe Hunt will have you exploring the regional and community parks in electoral areas A to H, to find the hidden shoes.

Clues and instructions for the locations of the shoes will be posted weekly to Golden Shoe Hunt page, RDN Facebook and RDN Twitter until May 17th.
