RDN News Release - Additional Tree Removal on RDN Property

Additional tree removal at the Regional District of Nanaimo’s (RDN) property at 6300 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo is required to support BC Hydro electrical upgrades for the RDN and BC Transit Battery Electric Bus project. Up to 10 trees have been identified for removal on RDN property. An arborist was consulted to ensure as many trees as possible are retained while accommodating the required underground electrical infrastructure. This work is expected to begin October 1.
