Tree removal at the Regional District of Nanaimo’s (RDN) property at 6300 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo is taking place to accommodate necessary infrastructure upgrades. Of the trees in the small construction area (as identified in the accompanying image), most must be removed. An arborist was consulted to ensure as many trees as possible are retained on the site alongside the required infrastructure. Removal will begin on Thursday, February 26. The tree removal will not impact parking lot access or the services provided at the administration or transit buildings.
