Emergency Services Notice - Warming Centre Opening

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) is opening an extreme cold weather warming centre for those needing a warm place for relief from the colder overnight temperatures. The warming centre will be in the Oceanside Community Church at 1420 Alberni Hwy, Parksville and open from Wednesday, February 18 at 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Thursday, February 19.

RDN Transit will be providing shuttle service to the warming centre from Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., with return trips Thursday morning at 6:30 a.m. The shuttle route is Parksville City Hall to Oceanside Community Church. Multiple round trips will be provided during the shuttle service.
