Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) transit services will not be affected by the Cowichan Valley Regional Transit System service suspension that starts on Saturday, February 8, 2025. All RDN-operated routes will run as scheduled, including Route 70 Nanaimo Cowichan Express (NCX).
While the NCX is not impacted, customers using the NCX to reach the Cowichan Valley are advised that there will be no local fixed-route service beyond the NCX drop-off locations, and no ability to travel to and from Victoria. Service will also be suspended for the Route 66 CVX Cowichan-Victoria Express and Route 99 SVX Shawnigan Lake-Victoria Express which provide interregional service between the Cowichan Valley and Victoria.
