RDN News Release - Updated Park Use Permit Process

Park use permits are needed for special uses outside typical recreational activities in all Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) parks. Updates have been made to RDN Park Use Regulations Bylaw 1801 to improve the permit application process for residents, organizations and businesses. Changes include streamlined permit categories and a new fee structure that is now in effect. With increasing usage of RDN parks and facilities, park use permits help protect the environment, manage shared spaces and ensure the needs of all groups are considered.
