Calls from the RDN

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) received notice from a resident who was called by an individual posing as an RDN handyDART representative. They proceeded to ask the client for money related to handyDART services. The RDN does not contact clients for payment. The client followed the RDN’s recommended course of action which is to hang up and call the RDN directly. Do not provide credit card or other personal information unless you have initiated a call to the RDN. Residents may also report suspicious calls to the RCMP or the Anti-fraud line at 1-888-495-8501.
