RDN Update on Recycling in Parksville and Qualicum Beach

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) has received many public inquiries about the impending changes to recycling collection in Parksville and Qualicum Beach. The RDN collects residential curbside garbage, food waste and recycling such as paper, plastic containers and metal containers. The RDN collects this recycling on behalf of Recycle BC. Recycle BC is also responsible for the collection of other residential packaging such as glass, Styrofoam and soft plastics which it does in partnership with local businesses.
