  • WellSmart & Aquifer 211 Workshop

    Join the RDN’s Drinking Water and Watershed Protection team at a special event to learn about groundwater, with a focus on the Jingle Pot, Wellington and Doumont area.

    Registration is FREE and all residents are welcome. It is a two-part event, with lunch being provided for those attending the entire event.

    WellSmart Workshop 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.:

    Join the RDN and representatives from the Ministry of Water, Land and Natural Resource Stewardship and others, to learn about well maintenance/operation, protecting your water source, water testing, treatment options and drought management. 

    Aquifer 211 Workshop 1 – 3 p.m.:

    Join the RDN and representatives from the City of Nanaimo, the Ministry of Environment and others to learn about groundwater, what an aquifer is and how to do your part in protecting Aquifer 211, a bedrock aquifer located below the Jingle Pot, Wellington, and Doumont area, which is showing declining water level trends.
