Sport Courts

Courts are available at Springwood Park, Qualicum Beach, Parksville Community Park, Dunsmuir Community Park, Jack Bagley Community Park and Ballenas Secondary School for tennis and pickleball play. Clubs may book seasonal court times.

Drop-in/Casual times are available for use without a permit/booking. If other people are waiting, please limit your play to 30 minutes. Reservable times are available for booking (if not already booked) by individuals or groups. If the space is not in use during posted booked/bookable times you are welcome to use it but groups with permits do get priority.

Dunsmuir - Sport Courts

DUNSMUIR COMMUNITY PARK - COURTS

Amenities:

  • Three lined pickleball courts (not lined for tennis)
  • Half and full basketball court lines and baskets
  • Hockey nets
  • No pickleball nets
  • Off street parking
  • Washroom on site

Suitable for:

  • Pickleball 
  • Basketball
  • Ball Hockey

Hours of Use: 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Reservable:  Sunday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

COURT 1 - 2 are available for Drop-In play or reservation. 

COURT 3 - is non-reservable and open on a first come, first served basis (other than tournaments and special events).

All courts are non-reservable on Saturdays.

 

Jack Bagley - Sports Courts

JACK BAGLEY COMMUNITY PARK - COURTS

Amenities:

  • One tennis court
  • Five pickleball courts
  • Basketball hoop
  • Off street parking
  • Washroom on site

Suitable for:

  • Pickleball 
  • Tennis

COURT 1 is reservable for drop-in play only and is not available for group bookings

COURT 2 - 5 are available for Drop-In play or reservation.  

 

Parksville Community Parks Courts

PARKSVILLE COMMUNITY PARK - COURTS

Amenities:

  • Two sport Courts (1 court is dedicated to pickleball and the second court it lined for tennis, but temporary pickleball is permitted.

Qualicum Beach - Tennis Courts

*Park use can be very high at peack times i.e., major community event site.

 

COURT BOOKING

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN), the City of Parksville, the Town of Qualicum Beach, and School District 69 have outdoor fields and courts suitable for seasonal, occasional and tournament play. 

Spring/summer league and tournament requests are due January 31. 

Fall/winter league and tournament requests are due July 31.

Please allow a minimum of three (3) business days for bookings to be processed. 

For casual use of a court, a permit is not required, but please note that groups with bookings do get priority use.

COURT ETIQUETTE

  • Wear appropriate footwear on the courts.  No cleats allowed. 
  • All players and spectators are to demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.
  • Be respectful to facility and courts
  • If other are waiting to play, limit play time to 30 minutes
  • Please be considerate to our neighbours by minimizing nose levels
