RDN News Release - Boundary Study for Electoral Area F

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) has received approval and a $45,000 grant from the Government of British Columbia’s Ministry of Municipal Affairs (Ministry) to undertake a boundary study for Electoral Area F (EA F). This builds on the momentum and support of the governance and services study that was completed in May 2023. The boundary study for EA F will determine possible boundary scenarios within EA F and identify some of the implications of the proposed boundaries on any future incorporation. The public will have opportunities to provide input on the potential boundary options to decide whether there is a desire to go ahead with a more in-depth incorporation study.
