RDN News Release - EA C By-Election Announced

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) will be proceeding with a by-election for a Director to represent Electoral Area C on the RDN Board within the next 80 days per legislative requirements. The by-election is taking place due to the passing of long-time Director Maureen Young in November. The RDN Board appointed the Chief Election Officer on March 8, 2022. The Chief Election Officer sets the election date as well as the nomination period for interested candidates. The RDN will announce these dates as soon as they are confirmed.
