BC Hydro - Free Home Upgrades for Renters and Homeowners on Limited Budgets
The Energy Conservation Assistance Program (ECAP) provides qualifying BC Hydro residential account holders with a home energy evaluation, installation of energy saving products, and personalized energy efficiency advice. All of this is free of charge, and available to renters as well as homeowners! Call 1.877.431.9463 or visit bchydro.com/ecap. FREE upgrades may include:
Compact fluorescent light blubs
Faucet aerators
Low-flow showerhead
Hot water tank wrap
Basic comfort draft proofing
Thermometers for the fridge and freezer
Low-wattage night light

Advanced draft proofing
CMHC - Financial Assistance for Home Repairs - Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (RRAP)
Financial assistance up to a maximum of $16,000 to low-income homeowners who require septic system and well upgrades and other plumbing repairs. There is also funding for owners of self-contained rental units occupied by low income tenants. www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca
Canada - BC Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) Program
Environmental farm planning is a no charge, confidential, voluntary process available to producers to identify both environmental strengths and potential risks on their farms. The producer may be eligible to apply for cost-sharing incentives under the Growing Forward Beneficial Management Practice Program to address environmental risks that have been identified in the completed farm plan.
