Notice of OCP and Zoning Amendment Application No. PL2023-045

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) is in receipt of an Official Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning Amendment Application respecting 957 Lee Road and 1236 Island Highway West in Electoral Area G.  The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to amend the Electoral Area G OCP and rezone the subject properties to accommodate near and long-term expansion requirements of the French Creek Pollution Control Centre (See plans in the attached notice.) The proposal also includes designation of an area adjacent to French Creek as Park Land/Green Space/Natural Area for the purpose of riparian protection and potential future community trail use.
