The Ministry of Transportation Infrastructure is responsible for all roads in Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Areas. Their BC Highway Maintenance Contractor for the Mid Island Service Area is Mainroad Mid-Island Contracting LP. Mainroad has advised that Lee Rd. in Electoral Area G between Qualicum Beach and Parksville, is closed both ways between Morningstar Drive and Mulholland Drive due to road instability. A detour is available via Mulholland Drive.
