The purpose of the proposed permit is to allow a wind turbine on the subject property for up to a three year period for testing purposes under the "Regional District of Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No.500, 1987.

All persons who believe that the interests of their property are affected by the proposed permit will be afforded an opportunity to be heard at the Board meeting. Written submissions must be received at the RDN office by 4:30 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2019, to ensure their inclusion in the public record. Following the Board meeting there will be no further opportunity to comment on this application.
Where can I inspect the permit?
This temporary use permit application may be viewed in the Community Planning office from the date of this notice to the date of the Board meeting. The office is located in the RDN Administration Building at 6300 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo, BC, open Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with extended business hours until 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
