In 2006, the RDN partnered with the Nanaimo Area Land Trust to secure this stunning 212 hectare regional park on the north east slopes of Mount Benson. Overlooking the City of Nanaimo, the park features rough mountainous terrain rising to the peak of Mount Benson. Views are panoramic: look out over Nanaimo to the Strait of Georgia and the mainland beyond or feast your eyes on the peaks of central Vancouver Island's highland mountains. Trails are steep and rough: wear appropriate clothing and footwear and pack water and food. For further information on Mount Benson Regional Park please click here.
