Regional and Community Utilities

Regional and Community Utilities are critical to maintaining quality of life in the region - these services include water supply in rural communities, wastewater treatment and disposal, Engineering, and Street Lighting. The Regional District is also a partner in the Arrowsmith Water Service, a joint venture of the City of Parksville, Town of Qualicum Beach and the RDN, and the Englishman River Water Service, a joint venture of the City of Parksville and RDN. These joint venture initiatives will serve to supply Englishman River water to the communities to supplement groundwater supplies.
