Park Construction
An Invitation to Tender for the construction of the park is currently underway. Please click here for more details.
Where is the park?
Henry Morgan Community Park is 0.23 hectares (1/2 acre) in size. The park has a gradual slope (7-13 % grade), and has a forest of red alder with a few groupings of big-leaf maple, fir, hemlock and cedar trees. The park is situated close to downtown Bowser (about a 10 minute walk along Esary Road) on the eastern side of the E&N railway. The park location allows many Bowser
residents to get to the park along low traffic roads without having to cross the railway or the Old Island Highway.
We hear You
A questionnaire was distributed to Bowser students and community members in May 2011 in order to get everyone’s ideas for the park. Thank-you so much to those who took the time to participate - your ideas were great!
A Concept Plan for the park will be presented to the Area H Parks and Open Space Advisory Committee this summer.
We will hopefully be breaking ground for the park this fall. Keep your eyes open!
Let's Build a Park Drawing Contest Winners
