Green Building Incentives

You may be eligible for funding to help make your property more environmentally friendly by reducing water and/or energy usage. The RDN offers rebates through the Green Building Incentive Program and the Drinking Water and Watershed Protection Program.

2012 Toilet Replacement Rebate $50 (only in RDN Electoral Areas) The RDN is now accepting applications for the 2012 Toilet Rebate Program. Funds are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Woodstove Exchange $250 Replace an old wood burning appliance with an EPA certified wood burning, pellet, or gas stove or insert purchased after January 18, 2013. >>>> Please Click Here for details	Home Energy Assessment $60 to $200 (only in RDN Electoral Areas and the District of Lantzville) A rebate for homeowners who complete a home energy assessment. An additional rebate is available if the follow-up assessment shows an increase in your home's EnerGuide rating! >>>> Please Click Here for details
Sustainable Development Checklist $50 - $1000 (only in RDN Electoral Areas and the District of Lantzville) Homeowners and owner-builders can earn incentives for reviewing the Checklist with the RDN Sustainability Coordinator, and achieving a high Checklist scores. >>>> Please Click Here for details	Graded Site-Cut Timber Incentive up to $250 (only in RDN Electoral Areas and the District of Lantzville) A rebate for homeowners who provide documentation confirming the use of site-cut timber for a structure requiring a building permit. >>>> Please Click Here for details
Residential EV Charging Station $250 (only in RDN Electoral Areas and the District of Lantzville) Residents who install an eligible Level 2 EV Charging Station can apply for this rebate. >>>> Please Click Here for details	Solar Hot Water System $250 (only in RDN Electoral Areas and the District of Lantzville) This rebate is available to residents who purchase and install an eligible solar hot water system >>>> Please Click Here for details

Unless otherwise stated, purchases of eligible products or services must be made after Program start date of May 1, 2012. Incentives are limited and are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Act early to avoid disappointment!
