2008 Local Government Elections
News Release - October 20, 2008

The RDN announces that elections by voting are required in Electoral Areas A, B and F (Director) and in the Gabriola Island Local Trust Area (Islands Trust Trustee).

The period for challenging the nomination of a candidate or for having a candidate withdraw from nomination is now closed. Electoral Areas A, B and F shall have an election by voting for the position of Director. The following individuals are declared as candidates for Regional District Director in the applicable Electoral Areas:

Only one candidate was nominated in each of Electoral Areas C, E, G and H. The following candidates are declared elected by acclamation in these areas:

The Gabriola Island Local Trust Area shall have an election by voting for the position of Islands Trust Trustee. The following individuals are declared as candidates for Trustee:
