The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) celebrated phase one completion of the Jack Bagley Community Park development project on May 4. Joining in the celebration were Nanoose Bay residents, RDN Directors, Nanoose Bay Parks and Open Space Advisory Committee members, local community groups and dignitaries. Following a welcome from the RDN and community, residents of all ages enjoyed a pickleball demonstration and opportunity to try out the sport on the newly completed courts. The RDN thanks the Nanoose Bay Pickleball Club for hosting the pickleball activities.
Since late March, residents have been enjoying the many park additions including the new sport courts. Phase one of the park development was supported by the RDN Community Works Fund and PacifiCan’s Canada Community Revitalization Fund.
