The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) is updating its Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No. 500, 1987 (Bylaw 500). Bylaw 500 is a planning document that regulates the use of land, buildings and structures in RDN Electoral Areas A, C, E, G and H. The RDN Board gave draft Zoning Bylaw 2500 first reading at its January 9, 2024, meeting and endorsed an engagement plan to seek public input on the draft bylaw. Residents are invited to review and provide feedback on the updated draft zoning bylaw via an online survey and through upcoming open houses. See attached Public Notice.
